Video: Sam Seder's Idiotic Attack on Andrew Yang

Andrew Yang made a TikTok video taking the California Democrats to task for shelving a single payer healthcare bill despite Governor Newsom’s theoretical “support” for the policy. He made the case that if Democrats in the bluest of states who ran on single payer and won a super majority still won’t even bring the measure to a vote, that no such reform is possible within the two party system because there’s no incentive for Democrats to keep their word on major issues like this one.

Sam Seder, on The Majority Report, took issue with Yang’s video, claiming he doesn’t actually support single payer himself. Despite whatever reservations we have about Yang’s new Forward Party, Yang’s point is valid in this instance, and Seder’s criticisms miss the point entirely.
