Great article, Keaton. I guess at least we can thank him for inspiring the creation of Due Dissidence! :)

I couldn't agree more, but I would actually trace back the accidental ascension of Biden even earlier. In 2008, Biden had just completed his second humiliating failure of a Presidential run when Obama decided to elevate him to be the Vice Presidential nominee on the off chance that it would mollify racist white men who were longtime Democrats, but could leave the coalition. Biden was a diversity politics hire in much the same way that Kamala was. Neither was plucked from political irrelevance for his or her political ideas or oratory ability. Each was chosen as an empty symbol of his or her race, gender, and age.

Great summary of events that led to Biden's victory. There are so many people who are clueless to these events. Thanks for this important article.

I've watched Due Dissidence since you first went online, and this is the first time I've seen an example of your writing. You should do this more often; this is an excellent political analysis. For that matter, so should Russell.

Speaking of Russell, I'm older than he is, and I was a lifelong Democrat until Bill Clinton. The Party on the left has truly become the Party on the right. They look and sound much like the Republicans of my youth--comfortable, white, and viciously condescending.

They're useless, so keep on pointing that out and helping to build a healthy alternative.

This analysis would certainly be read as blasphemy by any s-lib. They are so busy demonizing voters who pulled the lever for Trump, or even more shameful those of us who sat this one out rather than rewarding a genocidal administration, they can’t see how far off the road and into the ditch they’ve followed their party masters. Great article Keaton. DD has become my favorite of all the lefty podcasts. Much love and respect. KJo

"The 2016 election, in which the Democratic Party brass made left populism impossible and right populism inevitable..." Very well said!

I feel everything you said. This is my first time learning about some of the finer details of the 2020 Dem primary because I dropped from the news cycle on the eve of the Iowa primary and stayed out until September, by which point most people were brain-fried.

Looking at the 2020 democratic primaries, I think they were rigged.

The DNC Chair Perez brought in the Shadow software package to count the votes, bypassing the mechanisms of each State.

You could see the blatant corruption of this software in Iowa. It was embarrassing but the media looked the other way.

In New Hampshire where Shadow was put back on the shelf for repairs, you could see large discrepancies in polling places that used paper ballots vs the machines.

The DNC decided to not use ‘Shadow’ in Nevada to work out the kinks in the software and Bernie won handily.

After that it was on to South Carolina where Shadow was used fully and Biden won. Was it Clayburn’s endorsement or the corrupt software?

Stalin told us it doesn’t matter who you vote for but rather who counts the votes. After South Carolina the Shadow software was used in every primary. The fix was in. Sanders never had a chance.

In the general election, the Democrats cheated more effectively than the Republicans. There is mountains of evidence to make this claim.

Was it a Times or Newsweek article soon after the election that bragged about how the establishment banded together and put their giant thumb on the scales of justice. The Trump people were denied due process at every turn. Even the Supreme Court denied Trump’s standing.

It is no wonder that that 300,000 people came to DC on January 6th to protest peacefully that fateful day.

Biden’s election was no final spasm of the establishment Democrats; it was election fraud, as was the mid-term suppression of the RedWave. The big difference in the 2024 tally was due to an awakened and angry campaign forearmed to stop the fraud. If they don’t stay alert and angry, their losses in 2026 will be worse than ever.

Trump likely won by a larger margin in 2020 than in 2024.

If the DoJ does the job Trump was elected to do, Biden’s legacy will be written in the evidence of a thousand criminal convictions related to election fraud, racketeering, and the Covid debacle.
