Bernie Sanders has been fighting the good fight for longer than I’ve been alive, and so it ought to go without saying that I’m forever grateful for his efforts to make the country and the world a saner, kinder, and more civilized place.
Sanders is no friend of the working class. He's a sheepdog for the DNC, herding progressives into voting booths, that's all. He had his opportunity to be courageous, but flaked on it b/c he didn't want to become the pariah Ralph Nader is today.
Well said. From my rural upbringing, Bernie reminds me of the herd of horses trapped in a burning barn. The lead stallion leads them to the barn door, where they can escape the fire but refuses to go through the door leading the herd back into the burning barn.

See Chris Hedges' work on this topic.

At least he tried.
