While he did receive a medical degree, he never did an internship or residency, which is vital if one is to make decisions about public health. Dr. Bhattacharya may cut many vital programs at the NIH, in addtion to the issue you addressed; i.e., that recipients of NIH grants and funding must not participate in programs that promote DEI and anti-Israeli boycotts. It seems his openness to dissent only extends so far. Another example of how power can change people.
