It seems that the story of Nero playing the fiddle while watching as Rome burned may have as much basis in reality as Washington chopping down the Cherry tree. However, current events keep that image fresh in my mind. The US is modern day Rome and its on fire. The assholes who are supposed to be in charge clearly couldn’t care less and couldn’t be more clueless. The disconnect and lack of self awareness are on full display, we only need Nancy’s morning martini raised as she slurs out Let Them Eat Cake to be the cherry on top of The Bullshit Sundae we’ve been getting served for some time now. Poverty is The Great Equalizer. It seems like until the last bastion of the middle class loses the things they were taught to value and slaved away their whole lives to accumulate will they realize what most of us have known for years. It’s all been a big scam! The call is coming from inside the house. We are the bad guys.
